Three University of Tartu master’s students received diplomas from Tartu and Lyon

Three students of the European Languages and Cultures curriculum received a master’s diploma from the University of Tartu and a diploma from the Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in France.

The double diploma was awarded to students of the European Languages and Cultures curriculum, Moonika Põldvee, Gäroly Rohelsaar and Linda Tender, who studied in the specialisation of French language and literature. On 16 June, a reception was held in their honour at the University of Tartu Art Museum, with the Rector of the University of Tartu Toomas Asser and the graduates' lecturers and family members present.

The University of Tartu and the Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in France signed a cooperation agreement in 2018, and the new master's graduates are the first to complete the curriculum within this cooperation.

A total of five master’s students from our university can study at Lyon University every academic year. Besides the students of French language and literature, students of Russian and Slavic philology of the European Languages and Cultures master’s curriculum can apply for the double degree. One Russian and Slavic philology student starts their studies at Lyon in the autumn semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
